Milorad Dodik wants Republika Srpska issue not to be separated from Kosovo

Serbian Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Milorad Dodik said yesterday that “Republika Srpska should not be separated from the Kosovo issue”, while stressing that US envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar did not visit Bosnia to threaten sanctions. “He's trying to calm the situation, find some solutions and [...]
“He is trying to calm the situation, find some solutions and then come back for a while to try a deal on something”, Dodik told Tanjug.
One of the main messages after meeting with Escobar was that there will be no war in Bosnia.
There's definitely no war. (high Representative Christian) Schmidt's lying. There will be no war here. No one has the potential, no one can win. Nobody wants or is interested in it. This is political struggle for interests”, Dodik said.
Dodik said the Republika Srpska issue should not be separated from the Kosovo issue.
Everyone can leave, only we're not allowed, are the shipmen allowed to leave, Kurt and the history of joining Albania, Rama as well, and what would it be like to say that I'm in favour of BiH and union with Serbia and that Vuciq supports it? It would be a corruption in the region”, he said.
Serbia, regardless of politics, has clear priorities, in the state sense, and that is preserving territorial integrity, but on the national issue is RS, because there are 1.1 million Serbs” here, Dodik stressed.
Dodik's statement also comes in response to Eurodeputes and the rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, who said Kosovo and Republika Srpska should not be compared or connected in any way.
