Although Kosovo's invitation -- neither the government nor other institutions -- has yet been fully confirmed, sources said Kosovo and Serbia were set to be invited.
Metro newspaper sources within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have indicated that in order for Kosovo to secure this invitation, several requests have been submitted, provided they are realised in the future.
And according to these sources, country president Vjosa Osmani it had pledged to live up to the Constitutional Court's decision on the Decani Mnasatir.
The implementation of this decision was specifically required by the US, but other allied countries along with their ambassadors had demanded that it be implemented.
Four years ago, the Constitutional Court of Kosovo had ruled, under which the right to ownership of the Decani Monastery is recognised over 24 hectares of land. But this decision has never been implemented by this municipality.
Decani residents and municipal officials had staged several protests in 2013, saying the monastery is the object of Albanian worship rather than Serbs.
And that this would live, Osman had promised the American Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland, two days ago.
Osmani, after meeting through a post, had thanked Nuland saying it was a very productive meeting, and that Kosovo has no greater ally than America.
“A highly productive meeting with State Undersecretary Victoria Nuland to reaffirm our two countries' long-term commitment to partnership and common values. Kosovo has no allies greater than the US, and I look forward to working together to ensure that we even further contribute to peace and democracy”, Osmani wrote.
