Joan Anderson praised the taxi driver, whose name was David Perry, for the “closing doors” before the explosion, reports the BBC, translates Periscope.
A taxi passenger died at the scene and Mr. Perry was taken to the hospital.
Mrs. Anderson said that he did not report that he was suffering severe wounds that threatened to take his life.
The dead passenger has not yet been formally identified.
Three people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act, while the intelligence agency is assisting the anti-terrorism police.
