Aliu made these comments by answering AAK MP Time Kadrijaj's question, which asked him that “what obligations have you made in Belgrade?
All you're saying is your conclusion and you can declare whatever you want. In Belgrade, I made it clear that we will build the Durres Pristina Railway. And without making the railway Durres Pristina, there is no other kind of connection with Serbia. Even with Montenegro we have discussed the Decan Plav Railway very clearly. I have explained this to you in Belgrade too”, Aliu said.
He added that “this was my duty and I did my task”.
He also pointed to other plans for railway lines.
“Pristian Peja, the current railway will be modernised and put into the next year's budget. The Kline Prizren Iron will first function, and then maybe it will come to modernisation. This railway has been a bridge between the port of Durres and Pristina”, Aliu said.
This, according to him, will enable transportation of goods, which, as Aliu said, “can turn Pristina into a place from which these goods could be distributed”.
