University Professor Blerim Latifi has commented on Kosovo's failure by the United States of America at the Democracy Summit. He says this is bad news for our country.
It's a summit of democracies and definitely that map that came up in the media that we listed with Serbia, with Bosnia, with Orban Hungary, with Belarus was bad news for Kosovo and I think it's not good for us to downplay it. It's not good for us to close our eyes and say this is nothing”, Latifi says.
But what are the reasons why Kosovo has not been invited?
The essence of this sample lies in a kind of diplomatic pressure through which the US government is giving a clear message to the Kosovo government, which in two ways has expressed clear hesitations, open to the American agenda in the region”, says Latifi.
Why hasn't Kurt been invited to Washington so far?
The explanation is that perhaps there is a serious cooling of diplomatic reports between Kurti's government and the American administration or a second possible explanation is that Americans are now dealing with other issues and that they have time to waste on visits by government representatives of a small state”, he explained.
