The European Union's Special Representative for Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak will remain in Pristina today.

EU spokesman Peter Stano has confirmed the news.

“These visits are aimed at progress in preparations for the next summit, which we still hope will be held later this year”, Stano said.

Stano recalled that at the last meeting, held on November 15th, the foreign ministers of EU member states, called on Kosovo and Serbia to respect the agreements reached.

In this regard, Stano stressed that this also implies respecting the agreement regarding the visits of top Belgrade officials to Pristina and vice versa, which was reached within the dialogue.

On November 23rd, the Government of Kosovo again rejected the request of the chief of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Petar Petkov, to visit Kosovo.

Based on the data the EU possesses, Stano stressed that the visit was long warned and procedures were in line with the agreement.

On the other hand, the Fazliu Stand by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore (MPJD) has said about REL that the MPJD is willing to reconsider its positions and eventually approve future visits.

“. If Mr. Petkovic shows willingness to refrain from stimulating and provocative language in relation to the citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo”, Fazliu said.

Miroslav Lajcak's visit to Pristina comes after his stay in Belgrade, where he met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
