November 3, 2020, was a historic day not only for the United States of America, but for the whole world. Americans voted for change. U.S. citizens, the most important ally of the Republic of Kosovo, chose Joe Biden as their 46th president. Of course, Mr. Beden, even then, has not been a stranger to us: for decades, as senator and then as vice president, Joe Biden has been among the most vocal and most eager lawyers for protecting the rights of Albanians in the Balkans, especially Kosovo Albanians against the Milosevic regime. It is good luck for the Republic of Kosovo, so that, as president of the most important ally of our state, our proven friend has been elected for years”, Kurti wrote on a Facebook post.
However, for our country, the importance and significance of the election of President Beden, it was not only because of his involvement in our past rights but also because of what he promised and symbolized his victory for the future. Specifically, President Beden's victory proved to the whole world that the oldest democracy in the world continued to remain faithful to some of the most important customs of any democratic society: the rule of law against dictatorial politicians, fighting crime and corruption in all their forms and, above all, respecting the will of citizens expressed through free and fair elections. With President Beden's victory, these values have returned not only to the US itself but also to its foreign policy, particularly including relations with the Republic of Kosovo”, says Kurti's writing.

Thus, two parties of elections -- those on November 3rd and those on February 14th -- testified that what most deeply links our republics -- are not narrow geopolitical interests, but democratic principles and values”.
With the anniversary of his election, I wish President Biden success and a good job” again, Kurti has finished.
