So announced the SBASK chairman Nundman Jasharaj.
Jasharaj said their demands are legitimate and that they want to become part of the working groups for the Law of Salaries that is being drafted to the executive.
Our requests are legitimate. Parents' Council leaders are being contacted and on December 4th we are preparing to have a protest before the Government. It's a symbolic Saturday, so to show the opinion that we're going to lose our lesson, but with the greatest desire that even the heads of Parents' Counsel of all municipalities join us so that we can jointly engage and come to dialogue and agreement”.
Our main requirement is that we be part of the working groups for the Law of Salaries that we have information that it is being drafted into the government. We want to participate because we want to see that teachers' cofficients are affected and that they are not being discriminated against in relation to other categories”.
He stressed that if this is not accomplished, they will call for a more massive protest on December 18th.
The “tou will include the heads of all union associations from the entire Republic of Kosovo, including the union associations in the nursery, the union associations of pre-university education and union associations from the university. The December 18th protest will be more massive, we'll have parents, and I wish we wouldn't even go to the 4th of December<x1.
The first SBASK hopes the Law of Salaries will be passed, taking into account the demands of the education sector.
On the contrary, it also warns strikes.
Rhetman Jasharaj says that if it comes to strikes in education, lost classes will not be compensated.
If it comes up to strike, it will not replace lost days or hours”.
