According to Yomiuri Shimbun, the University of Osaka in Japan, announced on October 20th that some of the faucet water pipes at the hospital, which is part of the medical department of this institution, were incorrectly sealed, causing drinking water pipes to connect with those of the toilets.
This hospital was built in 1993, and the mistake of connecting the pipes had lasted some 30 years.
During this period the workers of this clinic and patients had used water for drink and hand washing.
The hospital discovered this problem during an inspection when it was making a new building of diagnostics and medical treatments.
However, the hospital controls the color, taste, and smell of water once a week, and for these years the quality of water has not been problematic.
