IPK: Police Director interviewed as a witness, not a suspect

According to the IKP, the Police Director was interviewed after the suspension of the Deputy Colonel Arbonesh Ajvazi, who was detained under suspicion of “influence” and “Exploring official secrecy”.
“The IPK, with the aim of right information of public opinion, provides clarification about published writings concerning the interview of Kosovo Police Director General. The IPK confirms that Kosovo Police General Director Mr. Samedin Mehmet has been invited for an interview based on the IPK's legal mandate. Mr. Mehmet was interviewed by IPK investigators in the quality of the witness in the case where one of his subordinates is suspected of criminal activity “impact” and “State of Official Secret”, the IPK clarification said
The IPK says his interview has no connection to the seizure of the suspected narcotics substance, which the case is personally investigating.
Kosovo's “Police Inspectorate thanks to continued co-operation, encourages media that prior to publishing information to the division of IPK co-operation and information for explaining information and obtaining accurate information in order to have fair information of public opinion.”, the IPK report said.
