Four people have lost their lives, and 19 others have been injured in Istanbul today as a result of powerful winds that have swept the country. News has been made by state authorities in a media statement.
“Four people including a foreigner have died and 19 of our fellow citizens have been wounded. Three of them are in serious condition”, said the statement quoted a report by the Natural Disaster Management Agency, abcnews reports. al
In images published at Turkish news agency “DHA” appears to be two men and a child carriage under the ruins of a construction site to suggest that an explosion occurred.
Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu expressed his condolences to the victims' families and called on the city's residents to be cautious in the face of danger.
