New Health Minister With Big Promises Explains 30-year Strategy

Rifat Latifi has been appointed Kosovo's new minister of health.

Once Minister of Health takes office, Latifi has said he will increase health services, and cease the removal of health workers from Kosovo.

Latifi has said they will stop removing the medical brain from Kosovo, until even those who have left will work to return to the country.

“We will interrupt the removal of Kosovo's medical and scientific brain to other European countries and beyond. If we fix our house, we'll make it possible to return the brain so far so that it becomes part of the process of establishing medical standards. We pledge that all those who want to return can return and become part of our lives now in Kosovo and help Kosovo in Kosovo's medical science”, he has declared.

Latifi has said that even patients will receive medical treatment in the country's health institutions.

He has said they should start with a 20-30-year strategy, as according to him, this process will last.

It will be clear that our patients will stay at our house in Kosovo because we will have our experts. This whole process will last, but we have to start strategy 20 to 30 years old, not a year or two. We need to get on this road to adapt to medical news as well as get to know them ourselves”, he added.
