Headship again with no decision to assign the plenary session

The head of the Kosovo Assembly has not been deciding on the appointment of the plenary session. After two successive failures, the chairmanship at Monday's meeting has only agreed to meet next week to decide on the next session. Pretext was considered meeting working groups this week for the SAA. However, one [...]
Kosovo Deputy Speaker Saranda Bogujevci of the Media Conference argued that the headship's decision in appointing the plenary session.
“We agreed that next week we will meet to set the next session. This comes as a result of meetings of working groups that are for the SAA this week. We have a large number of MPs who are engaged in the part of this work, and the meetings to be held will be held at the plenary session”, she said.
Similar reasons were used by PDK parliamentary group chief Abelard Tahiri, who said there are over 26 deputies who will participate in the working groups for the SAA.
Asked about the idea of presence even of a permanent American military base in Kosovo, Tahiri said any additional re-agency of them is important to the country.
But, in advance, Tahiri called on the government not to escape responsibility in relation to the gas pipeline project.
“The presence of the US and NATO Army is important to our country, any additional re-admission of the US I think is very important to the country. You know that military presence is not missing, we have an important base like Bondsteel. I think before the government went to talk to me about military presence work, it's good to handle the gas issue, don't reject such a project. We are again urging this government not to flee its responsibilities in relation to gas and this strategic project. Presence of such a project is important to our economy and security”, he added.
More critical of not setting up the plenary session was shown, AAK parliamentary group chief Besnik Tahiri.
He demanded that the Assembly meet as soon as it meets to debate the issue of the gas pipeline project and the rising prices of elementary products.
We've had 16 points on the agenda, and 5 of them are also unfinished, making a 21-point agenda that we're unfortunately coming to a convention for weeks and weeks, not to tell you it's fully operational. It's important to us that the two debates we've called. The debate over the rise of international prices and the government's arguments has no hand here, while years ago Prime Minister Kurti himself said he would look for cents on how prices would rise. The second debate we've invited is about the MCC gas project. There are two debates requiring urgency for treatment”, he said.
Regarding Defence Minister Armend Mehaj's request for permanent American basis in Kosovo, Tahiri said that with any US presence, Kosovo benefits.
Whatever American presence in Kosovo during our history, Kosovo has already benefited. It is not good neither the minister nor the government to make public vows that do not stand behind them and stand behind them. Relations with the United States are not only vital, but they are now built relations for many years. We have to keep them like the eyes of our face, I don't think we can help them by making public vows and doing nothing. The case is with the MCC, before making a basis for doing the work with the American programs we have here”, he stressed.
The last plenary session of the Kosovo Assembly was October 19th. In the order of the Commission meeting day, besides numerous bills, there was the parliamentary debate on the gas pipeline project.
