“We don't know what will happen to us”, health professionals call for respect for measures and vaccines

Respecting measures against pandemics and vaccines are the main elements that can prevent the spread and increase the number of coronary cases, health professionals say: Teuta Feyza, epidemiologist; Arben Vajaj, internist, and Judge Mulliqi-Osman, microbiologist. Epidemiologist Fyza, director of the Institute of Public Health in Mitrovica, that the situation with the pandemic is unstable and that can change.

“We don't know what lies ahead, we can't predict, but also expect a new wave of infection”, she says.

Fyza considers that citizens, in general, should be careful and, according to her, all health institutions must be respected.

“Vaxing must continue without interruption and the more vaccinated so that the wave of infection is as small as”, Fyza says.

Students at the University of Pristina are not being checked whether they are vaccinated or not against the coronary.

Kosovo University Clinical Clinic Director Arben Visaj tells Radio Free Europe that whatever situation possible, the clinic will be ready.

He claims they are preparing for difficult epidemiological situations that can be presented.

Kosovo, as well as other countries, cannot be immune to this pandemic and the possibility of spreading infection in Kosovo exists. We, always, as clinics are doing everything possible that the situation, which is eventually expected to come, will deal with as desirable as possible”, says Visaj.

At the Infectious Clinic of the University Clinical Hospital Service of Kosovo on November 3rd, seven patients -- two in intensive care -- have been hospitalised.

On Tuesday, the Kosovo Health Ministry has also approved the decision on vaccinating children aged 12 to 15.

Epidemiologist Fyza says that on the basis of recommendations, even new age groups should be vaccinated.

There should be more information for citizens to decide on vaccinating younger age groups, as institutions” have put in place, she says.

Filliqi-Osman, retired professor of medical microbiology, says the place where there can be an increase in cases may be schools. She recommends that there be rapid tests.

I think that in schools maybe the quick trial or parenting test for the student is applied, at least once a week, so that we can escape from that immediate and intense show of high number of infected people”, Osmani says.

Increase in new coronary cases in Europe

The rise in the number of coronary infections in Europe is a <x0-focused” and the region could face half a million more deaths by the beginning of next year, the World Health Organisation warned on Thursday.

The current transmission of the virus to 53 European region countries is a major concern”, O head said BSH for Europe, Hans Kluj, at a press conference, adding that new cases are approaching record levels.

Most European countries have reported in recent days increasing the number of cases of Corleone.

Belgium report on Thursday a significant increase in hospital infections and lyings compared to October, 2020.

Data from Belgium's Sciensano Health Institute indicated there have been an average of 6,728 new daily cases in the last 14 days. On average, 164 coronary patients were admitted to hospitals every day in the last seven days.

Over 8.6 million people in Belgium have been completely vaccinated, which accounts for 74 percent of its population.

On Monday, the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) added Belgium to the list of high-risk countries.

There are nine other European countries on this list, among them: Austria, Britain, Croatia, Greece and the Baltic states.

The Institute for Disease Control in Germany “Robert Koch” said on Thursday it has recorded 33,949 new cases of coronary infected people.

From the beginning of the pandemic, Germany has never scored such a figure.

The rise in new Corleone cases has prompted Germany's Health Minister Jens Spahn to call a meeting with 16 country health ministers to discuss how to limit the spread of the coronary during the winter months.
