Although the Government did not provide any date, connoisseurs of European integrations as real opportunities for visa liberalisation see the first six months of 2022, just when the EU Council presidency takes France, which is one of the sceptical countries.

Government spokesman Kurti, Kryeziu Progress, says Kosovo has met all criteria for visa liberalisation.

However, it shows they are in communication with the reluctant countries and that the same are aware of positive developments in Kosovo.

“This is a decision which belongs to the EU, respectively, countries that continue to express a dose of scepticism towards Kosovo, as regards the issue of visa liberalisation. This approach, this approach and these decisions are determined by the internal political dynamics of these countries. Despite this, they are constantly in communication with these countries and representatives of these countries. They have diplomatic missions in Kosovo where they are aware of any positive development marked in Kosovo. We hope the EU will overcome this hesitation, these states, respectively, face Kosovo and change their position, as changes have taken place in Kosovo. We have a new government enjoying the great popular and political legitimacy that has clear intentions of fighting crime, corruption and reforming the justice system... This government has already adopted the strategy for rule of law within seven months, an extremely important document for reform of the justice system. The same time it adopted concept-document for property that is necessary to create a real state”, he says.

Good news for visa liberalisation awaits university professor Africa Hoti, who says that in the first part of 2022 there may be positive moves for Kosovo.

I don't think there's going to be anything new in this year, because Slovenia definitely does, I don't think it has the potential to postpone this issue, so that eventually we can get visa liberalisation. Meanwhile, the European Parliament is now trumpeting, and how long, it is even the only EU institution to recognise Kosovo, and with the same has been constitutionalising contractual relations. Whatever the case, the visa liberalisation issue has already remained a matter of the Council of Ministers. Some countries hesitate to give the green light to this issue. Perhaps good and optimistic news is expected in the first part of next year, when the council's leadership will receive France. Given the fact that France is the country that has so far caused the most problems”, Hoti points out.

The most reserved in terms of time, the spokesman Kryeziu said. He says Kurti Government will not make the mistakes of preliminary governments when speaking on behalf of the EU.

This government cannot make the mistakes that the preliminary governments have made when speaking on behalf of the EU. This decision does not belong to Kosovo, although we work and pledge that any reluctance these states have in relation to Kosovo to address in the best time and way of”, Kryeziu adds.

Kosova Prees has also contacted the Eurodeputetta, simultaneously the rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cremon, but the same time has not been accessible to show its expectations about this process.

Peaceful have been in opposition parties, PDK and LDK.

Kosovo has met all criteria for visa liberalisation since 2018. But some EU countries, aside from France, the Netherlands and Denmark, have expressed their reservations to the company of such a step.
