Government Kurti says it will establish reciprocity, but I don't know when

The Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), in co-operation with the Commission for Economics, Industry, Intervention and Trade, has organised public discussion on the “Trade Barrierat between Kosovo and Serbia”. Industry, Intervention and Trade Minister Roseta Hajdari said Kosovo still continues to be treated unevenly against Serbia. According to her, it is unacceptable that the country in CEFTA is still represented through UNMIK, adding that on this issue and has addressed the institution with a request, writes Online Economy.
When she spoke of trade reciprocity with Serbia, she said work is still needed to prepare institutions if they want to apply such a measure.
Hajdari claims that reciprocity should be found not only in politics on business matters, adding that local producers will be protected by any instrument.
Kosovo must play a constructive role in the bilatheral dialogue. Kosovo is not properly represented. Why Kosovo has not urged UNMIK's departure through CEFTA. Kosovo is represented through UNMIK. We're still waiting for CEFTA to address our letter. We will continue to insist that Kosovo is treated equally. And this letter we've been leading was sent in September, which has had reactions from Serbia”.
Kosovo has priority that it will probably disagree with the decisions made at CEFTA. If Kosovo is not treated equal and presented through UNMIK while we have an account to participate in CEFTA. If we stop Serbia's products where the trucks will stop. We need work to prepare institutions if we want to apply reciprocity”.
The government is pledging that every instrument will protect our producer from total evidence. I see reciprocity of Kosovo's representation even in politics not only the trade issue”.
Commission Chairman Ferat Shala said trade barriers between the two countries have recently increased even more, so such a discussion could serve in finding a solution.
KDI representative Violet Hajoli said they have consistently provided assistance to the Assembly to strengthen the role of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Although she said Kosovo companies are being greatly damaged by barriers to the neighbouring state, she has demanded that economic themes not be part of political clashes, EO reports.
The issue of barriers between the two countries has always been a topic. Kosovo- Serbia has been among the topics the political spectrum has not found agreement. There are currently no reciprocity, and companies face challenges. Kosovo has applied safeguard clauses to Serbia in 2011”.
The “at the time was the reason for Serbia to accept the customs stamp. The trade record has been abolished by the Hoti Government. Now we have the new Government, which has declared it will impose trade reciprocity with Serbia, but there is no decision. The minister has warned that products entering Serbia will be investigated. What we've recorded is that this subject doesn't become the subject of political confrontation”. / EO
