The technical foreign minister said in the margins of a meeting with EU foreign ministers in Brussels that a tougher approach to halt current developments should be considered.
“Developments are extremely disturbing. The sanctions will be directed against those who question the state structure and try to incite people to hate or want to sever ties with the EU. Dodik violates the architecture of the Dayton Agreement. The EU cannot be indifferent to this,” said Maas.
Maas noted that Dodik, who announced a gradual withdrawal from state institutions, including withdrawing from the military, violates the architecture of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
