Experts show when to place winter tires

Various international experts suggest that winter tires should be placed on the car, once temperatures drop to less than 7 degrees, this should have better friction, braking and maintenance.

The law on road traffic regulations in Kosovo envisions changing summer tires with winter ones taking place from November 15th to March 15th.

But international experts have given their opinion that this should be done even before that date.

They estimate that winter tires must be placed immediately when temperatures drop less than 7 degrees. This, according to them, should be done because the car must have better friction, braking and maintenance.

The tires produced today for winter are designed for good snow performance, but also for good performance in cool asphalt.

One thing should be remembered by experts, as soon as you can see your breath (so when you blow from your mouth), then it's time to put up your winter tires.

For your safety and passengers, place tires that fit your car, and, you know, winter tires should be placed in four to have better control and stability of the car, otherwise, if you just put the first two tyres or two tires back in, you'll risk yourself.

We remember not putting on winter tires from November 15th, in Kosovo it is punishable by law.
