“AstraZeneca has presented us with some new data that may support the adoption of a third dose”, said Marco Cavalier, head of the vaccine strategy. “We will discuss with the company whether this data is enough for the adoption of a reinforcement dose or if we need more information,” he added.
The European Barnat Agency also stated that most European Union member states have approved the use of COVID-19 reinforcement doses for the most endangered persons, adding that “the enlargement of reinforcement doses for the general population may be the next step of”, reports abcnews.al.
EMA also warned that the number of cases is increasing in the EU, calling on citizens to be vaccinated.
