Germany will soon have a new ruling alliance, which there has never been.

Directed by the surprise election winner, Germany's Social Democrat Party, the SPD.

This political force, the oldest in Germany to emerge from 19th century labour movements, has shown several times in its long history of courage for transformation.

Lastly at the end of this millennium, when together with the Greens modernised then solidified labour market policy, social and political under the name “agenda 2010”.

A radical change in course, which healed Europe's patient, as Germany was then called. With this the world's fourth largest economy was regenerationd and able to play the important role of the leading economic locomotive in Europe.

Each party has placed its mark

Since this radical change, there were even many missing persons who were not questioned.

Relative poverty in Germany is disturbing, nowhere else does there be an enhanced share of low wages.

This will change the new traffic government as it is called among the Social Democrats (red), the liberals (of yellow as a symbol) and the Greens.

It will change the lower wage sector by raising the minimum wage to 12 euros. With this Olaf Scholz, Germany's next Chancellor and successor to Angela Merkel makes a central promise of the SPD a reality. This is positive, because it would benefit about 10 million people.

While this new initiative was a highly controversial topic in the coalition talks.

The Liberals, The FDP, oriented by the market economy, sees nothing good from the state intervention in tariff autonomy.

On the other hand, The FDP managed to succeed in the coalition with its request that the law be preserved to curb debts that have been introduced into the constitution. The Green Hand, on the other hand, is noted on their main theme - the climate. So, for example, the release from coal power was estimated at 2038 in 2030.

Crisis of Combating Corona

All three coalition parties have shown a major compromise capability.

In implementing their ambitious programme for Germany, Europe and the world they will need allies beyond the government cabinet table and outside parliament.

Within Germany, their words must be followed by works. A good start is for putting the pandemic under control to be taken over by an expert staff and crisis.

Olaf Scholz guarantees continuation in Europe

In this area of many obstacles, the new German government has to act very carefully but also have the right determination.

This is also true in the relationship with the six Western Balkan states, which want to become EU members.

Sounds nice in the coalition deal, which Germany traditionally perceives its great responsibility in the EU “in the servant's concept”.

In Willy Brandt tradition.

Even against countries like China, Russia, Turkey's coalition seeks to make those who, after years of increased tension, are inexhaustible.

To insist on respect for human rights and despite crisis relations to preserve dialogue. For all these national and international challenges, it seems that the three coalition partners -- the SPD; the Gelbrit -- and the FDP have found a common basis.

The motto found for the ruling “coalition is most likely to be progress” does not by chance recall the SPD slogan from the time of Social Chancellor Willy Brandt.

“To dare more democracy”, a promise of the then reached coalition with the FDP. A promise that then Germany exhumed socially and politically and in the world's political arena led to the detension policy with the communist bloc.

That the ruling coalition introduces itself as <x0 coalition for freedom, justice and stability” is first confirmation of the party's own identity. The FDP has in its basic understanding freedom, SPD justice and ecological stability. Who can have something against the sound of this thrill? Only those outside and outside Germany are for nationalism, isolation, and authoritarian politics, which are not few. Facing them with confidence, democratic attitude, and atmosphere change is the best signal coming from Germany. / DW
