Dodik: We don't want Bosnia as it is now, we will form Republika Srpska Army

Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency member Milorad Dodik in an interview for the BBC has said he wants to form the army of Republika Srpska, as such is allowed under the Dayton Agreement. This is our constitutional right, it's not abolished before. We only agreed on another way of organizing [...]
This is our constitutional right, it's not abolished before. We only agreed on another way of organising military forces in BiH. Now we will attract that consent”, Dodik said.
He again denied the genocide in Srebrenica, saying a large “crime was committed.
There is no doubt that a crime was committed in Srebrenica. But this is the work of individuals, not the army as a whole. In any case, people have different fears. Serbs fear that the entire area will be dominated by Muslims and fear coming exiles. These are the things that exist here”, Dodik said.
Dodik had declared last month that he would force the Armed Forces to withdraw from Republika Srpska territory, occupying barracks, but now considers the barracks deadlock is unnecessary.
“There are no BiH armies on the territory of Republika Srpska, but Armed Forces in which most are Serbs. No need to block the barracks, when 90 percent of BiH Armed Forces members in Republika Srpska are Serbs. I also want to stress that I believe in EUFOR's capacity and that their mandate has been extended with the UN decision”, Dodik said.
Moreover, Dodik says they do not love Bosnia as it is currently.
No, we don't want BiH as it is now. It turns out that BiH, as it is currently organised, is decadent with false reforms and other problems and as such cannot survive. What I want on behalf of the people who chose me is to defend the Dayton Agreement and apply only what was written there”, Dodik said.
Otherwise, the international community's top representative in Bosnia has warned that the country is in immediate danger of breaking apart and that there is a very real “ ” perspective of a return to conflict.

Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik is threatening to withdraw from state-level institutions, including the national army built with international aid over the past quarter century, and to rebuild a Serbian force.
On October 14th, Dodik said he would force the Bosnian Army to withdraw from Republika Srpska, surrounding its barracks and that if the West tried to intervene militarily, he said there were <x0-> enemies” who had promised to support the Serb cause, an alleged reference for Serbia and Russia.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar told Congress last week that the US is working with the EU to ensure that there are consequences for any illegal or destabilising act” in Bosnia.
