Kosovo Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufca has said the European Union will not be complete without the involvement of Kosovo and Western Balkan countries in it. He has criticised the EU for failing to keep its word on visa liberalisation for Kosovars.
At the seventh meeting of the Parliamentary Commission for Stabilisation and Association between the European Union and Kosovo, Konjufca has said that in the 6 years since the Stabilisation Agreement was signed - Association is trapped because of the political will jam.
We are fully convinced that integration is not a unilateral process, but is based on the mutual process. We think of the EU as a system of the values of democracy justice and security that we should build here in Kosovo and only thus transform ourselves into the European Union. But neither is the EU complete without the involvement of Kosovo and the countries of the Western Balkans. The EU's most critical point concerns enlargement. It's been eight years when the last country joined Be and I don't remember that the enlargement process is in crisis like today. The European Union has not come up with Kosovo in a promise, and it is about visa liberalisation. The visa regime still remains in force for Kosovo citizens”, he has said.
