Bujanoc head vs “Balkan Open”: Valley problems solve Kosovo- Serbia

Bujanoc Mayor Nagip Arifi is supporting the Government of Kosovo for non-participation in the regional initiative “Open Balkans” Arifi says this initiative is not for an open Balkans because Serbia does not recognise the state of Kosovo, the first of Bujanoc supports the Government of Kosovo, even for establishing the reciprocity measure [...]
The first of Bujanoc supports the Government of Kosovo as well as the deployment of reciprocity in the license plates with Serbia, while demanding reciprocity in other issues as well.
He says confident that the calm situation currently ruling is due to the control of the north from Serbia, on the contrary he says the latter would begin printing the Presevo Valley of Albanians.
The current situation in the Presevo Valley is fragile both politically and economically. Politically, it greatly affects how conversations are going in Brussels between the Kosovo side and the party of Serbia. Economically, Serbia's government does not have any will to develop that part of the territory. We hope and believe that an agreement will soon be reached between Pristina and official Belgrade, and then I hope that the situation will normalise”, he says.
It shows the impact it had on the citizens of the Valley putting reciprocity on the license plate with Serbia.
We've had less and less greedy situations in our last few days. The moment when reciprocity to Serbia began to be implemented in terms of car plates. We have supported that decision. I hope that reciprocity will be used in other issues, especially in the diplomas' storage, because a number of young people after conducting the faculty at Kosovo universities, Serbia does not accept... The situation at the moment is calm in that direction until Serbia controls the north part. The moment you lose that privilege, then Serbia will also use the strength to crush Albanians even further in the Presevo Valley”, Arifi adds.
While you see Kosovo's decision not to be part of the regional initiative “Balkan opened”.
This initiative for open Balkans, we have not yet heard a special program of what it produces. I didn't personally support him. As long as Serbia does not accept Kosovo as an independent state then it does not have to deal with an open Balkans because to go to Serbia it must be passed through Kosovo”, he says.
He also speaks of the situation with the pandemic, which says that despite their difficulties, they have managed to manage well with the pandemic.
We have the situation under control and... The Health Ministry in Serbia has ranked the Bujanoc municipality among the five municipalities that have worked and citizens have received the vaccine, whether first, second or third. So in this regard we're managing the situation very well”, he says.
