Dark Warning Comes From O Director BSH for Europe Hans Kluge. The new cases increased 55 percent over the past four weeks, according to Cluj, because of low levels of vaccine and lack of protective measures. 59 percent of global infections and 48 percent of reported deaths are from Europe and Central Asia.
The current transmission “Nivel in 53 European countries is extremely disturbing, and new cases are reaching record levels driven by the virus's most transmitted version, Delta. We have to change our tactics; from the reaction to the explosion of cases in preventing them”, Hans Kluge said.
O Experts The BSH says there is a great difference around the region in the vaccine coverage. About 1 billion doses have been administered so far, but only 47 per cent of the European population are fully vaccinated. According to Cluj, if 95 percent of citizens wore masks, 188 thousand lives could have been saved. He defended the use of a health certificate, which he said was a means to individual freedom.
