Bosnia and Herzegovina Flooded

Many areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital and regions have flooded as a result of heavy rainfall Thursday. Bosnia is also experiencing increased cases of codwebs, while the rains will affect patients in hospitals as the oxygen - producing company is flooded. Continued rains made the balance worse at the weekend [...]

Continued rains exacerbated the flooding balance in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the weekend, and parts of the Balkan state are standing underwater.

Hundreds of buildings in the outskirts of Sarajevo plunged into heavy rainfall Friday, which caused erosion and forced the evacuation of boats to Rajlovac and Osijek.

Most of the capital remained without electricity hours after the first rains.

Rains in Bosnia began on Thursday evening, and forecasts are to continue until Sunday, Oranews reports.

The situation has raised fears of repeating the catastrophic floods of 2014 when a third of the population was flooded.

Recent days Bosnia and Herzegovina had had unusual clear weather days with temperatures of over 20 degrees Celsius
