He said also that the EU expects both sides to fully respect previously agreed agreements.

When it comes to dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, we expect Serbia and Kosovo to fully respect previously agreed agreements, make rapid progress in normalising relations. I hope we will have another high-level dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels by the end of the year,” said Borrell after a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

He called on leaders of both sides to respond to his call for dialogue.

Borrell stressed that “understands that, if the Western Balkan countries want to be EU members, they should share the same views with the EU”.

So they should view the world as we do, share views, analysis, talk... They should not blindly agree with us, but we want to work closely together. It will be easier for them when they see what our view of the world is to harmonize with that”, he said.
