Four out of five Albanians in Albania (79,2%) would vote for unity in a single state of Albania and Kosovo, if they were called today in a referendum on the issue.
Euronews Albanian Barometer, dedicated to the opinion of the citizens of Albania regarding Kosovo-Albania relations, has found that only about 16% of Albanians oppose the union.
The overwhelming majority of Albanians (over 90%) think that Albania and Kosovo are one nation.
However, less than half of Albanians think a union between the two countries could occur in the next 10 years.
In the event of the union, 70% of Albanians think the capital should be Tirana.
The findings are of the Barometer, conducted on 2029 October 2021, conducted by the MRB and the Centrum Data at the national level, with 1,000 interviews face to face in the family.
