The American Senate confirms Jeffrey M's appointment. US Ambassador to Kosovo Hovenier

Hovenier, who replaces Ambassador Philip Kossnet, had made a valuable contribution to the Rambouillet conference for Kosovo.

The new US Ambassador Hovenier is an American foreign service career diplomat who has been part of the United Nations Special Envoy's staff for the status of Kosovo.

Hovenier, after nominating for ambassador, had declared that his priority would be continuing American support for a sovereign and democratic Kosovo.
