The rise in food prices is the phenomenon that has recently sparked many citizens' reactions.
Given the low incomes of Kosovo families, such prices are difficult to bear.
The concerns and frustrations of consumers and businessmen are now and again addressed to the Kosovo government.
In addition, complaints about these raises have been addressed at the Kosovo Competition Authority.
Since this institution currently has no managing board so it has been confirmed that price hikes may not be monitored for this reason.
But the AKK's role in the economic market explains Valon Prestisha, former chairman of the Board.
Prestreshi stressed that it is the law on the free economy market that regulates product prices, but not overlooks the possibility that production companies may have made arrangements for such promotions.
The establishments of essential food and services have begun for two months now.
