AAK criticises the government for the wage law: Tell him why you don't bring him to the Parliament this year

The chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo parliamentary group, Besnik Tahiri, has criticised the Government of Kosovo for failing to bring Kosovo's Parliament, the wage law, in the absence of political will and skill. Tahiri at a media conference, has said he has demanded from the latter not to [...]
According to him, the Kosovo government has had the deadline on 29 October 2021, as it has determined in the legislative agenda itself.
Among other things, Tahiri addressed the government's request that the Law for Public Officials not be affected, as well as the classification be done with a consultation with independent aggression and should also have consultation with all relevant institutions.
This government has no political will for the Law of Salaries to be brought to the Parliament and, above all, disinformed by public opinion that this law will enter into force... Our request for the Government of Kosovo for Prime Minister Kurti and all those working on this law is very simple: Don't touch the law's career system for public officials, because it's been working for 20 years... Categorisation should be done with a very close consultation with eight independent agencies... secondly, bring the Law of Salaries to the Parliament, or go to the health, education, police unions, which this year will not come to the government this year or come to 2023 at”, he said.
Tahiri also spoke of other concerns. He said the law for public officials aims to harm achieved tax administration and civil service for 20 years.
From what we've seen in public, it's seen that the administration of the Law for Public Officials aims to seriously damage the achievements we've had in the state administration and in civil service now 20 years. First, it has to do with the government's tendency to disrupt the career system of civil service, which means in a practical way, division chiefs and departments turn into a working relationship like in the private sector... The second one has to do with classification of public officials in this law, which directly affects the Law of Salaries and implies that this categorying increases and reduces salaries”, Tahiri said. /KP
