109 years from Albania's declaration of independence

Today 109 years ago in Vlora representatives of Albanian Villejet declared the independence of the Albanian State. The Vlora National Assembly held its first meeting on 28 November 1912, with the act of declaring Albanian State Independence by the Ottoman Empire. Albania's declaration of independence was the crowning of centuries-old efforts and ongoing wars by Albanians for the liberation of the country.
But, unfortunately, the Government of Vlora had a short life, since just over a year the Government of Vlora was forced to step down and give way to a government headed by a foreign prince appointed by the Powers of Time.
Even worse, Albania was hit territorially, the armies of Balkan neighbours and wars broke up half of Albania's territories, being annexed by neighbours, while the London Conference, held in 1913, accepted the conquests of Albanian territories, dramatically wrinkled Albania's borders.
Half of the Albanian population remain under Serbian-Montenegrin and Greek rule.
After the declaration of Independence, the state bodies, Pleassia and Government, were formed on November 28, 1912. Armed and ranking forces were established and work was started on consolidating education, health, administration, etc.
The Vlora government laid the first stones for establishing a judicial system according to European models. The Albanian language was declared an official language, and the opening of Albanian schools was established since autumn 1914. The most important judicial act released by Vlora's interim government was the interim Kanun of the Albanian Civil Administration”, which was published in November 1913.
The Vlora National Assembly also chose the poplar that had to perform the functions of a government's advisory and supervisor, with chairman Vehbi Agoli.
