Xhaferi expressed satisfaction that this first meeting with his Greek colleague takes place in Athens, in the year when the Republic of Greece celebrates the 200th anniversary of the start of the war for independence and inaugurated President Tasula for the excellent organisation of the Conference.

In its report to bilatareal parliamentary co-operation, he praised the existence of the Co-operation Groups in the two countries' legislative chambers as an excellent basis for developing close bilateal co-operation and voiced hope that soon, members of the two groups will hold a joint meeting.

“Chairman Xhaferi suggested that ratifications with which co-operation with the Republic of Northern Macedonia in more areas, including in the part of the Eurointegrations, have not yet been adopted in the Greek Parliament, and called for their ratification as soon as possible in order to become operational”, the Jafer's Cabinet says.

Mayor Tasulas expressed great satisfaction with this, as he called it, the first long-awaited meeting at the level of parliament speaker, and stressed that this confirms relations between two states progress.
