The woman who can end Vuciqi's political career

Regional media these days are full of articles for Diana Hrkalic, a former senior Serbian Interior Ministry official who was arrested on Friday as part of an investigation into hiding evidence of the assassination. Former state secretaries of Serbia's Interior Ministry were assigned a 30-day detention measure due to the “existence of circumstances showing that by staying on the run, it would hinder the procedure by influencing the witnesses”, the Supreme Court in Belgrade explained.

News that the former right-wing police minister has been arrested is intriguing in itself, but 34-year-old Hrkalovic has attracted media and public attention for at least two other reasons: her attractive appearance and the fact that her arrest is the latest episode on a much larger issue. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, his favorite late, Nebojsa Stefanovic, current defence minister, whose state secretary was Dijana Hrkalovic, and the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

Add here the fact that Vucic took control of all institutions in Serbia, as well as the regime's photoide campaign against Stefanovic and Hrkalovic, reports Index.hr.

Vucic also spoke of the arrest of Dijana Hrkalovic, who in fact does not have any constitutional authority to deal with police investigations, but so far this has not prevented him from doing just that, Telegrafi broadcasts.

After all, formerly as Police Minister, his closest intimacy was Stefanovic, who has been compromised today, while now is his successor, Aleksandar Vulin. On the contrary, Vuciq constantly makes public statements in investigations and the mafia, claiming to lead the fight against the mafia, in which the seal loyally helps.

Dijana Hrkalovic experienced a career promotion when Vucic came to power.

Hrkalovic joined police in April 2014 as the cabinet's deputy minister, from the Security Information Agency (BIA).

She was a young and ambitious SNS staff, and meanwhile she also received a doctorate in psychology. She was elected Secretary of State in July 2017. Hrkalovic entered Serbia's security structures as a political framework at the time when Vuciq became Serbia's prime minister and was also chief of the Office for Co-ordination of Security Services.

According to independent research portal KRIK, Hrkalovic was a partner of the gendardar, Nenad Vuckovic (Vucko), one of the influential people in police, who was found to be close to the late criminal group, Aleksandar Stankovic (Sale Mutavi).

KRIK found that while Dijana Hrkalovic was in high positions in the Interior Ministry, Serbian police arrested mostly members of the Skaljar clan, while criminals from the opposing Kavak clan rarely ended up behind bars.

Connection between mafia, police in Serbia is nothing new

During her stay, the number of criminal cases in Serbia increased, and the number of cases resolved remained low. Criminal clashes escalated in 2015 when 18 people died in criminal liquidation.

Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs tried several times to better present the situation by manipulating statistics. The data, however, shows that in the last five years, as long as Hrkalovovic has been in the Interior Ministry, 78 people have been liquidated in criminal confrontations and that only five cases have been resolved, writes the CRIK.

After all, the link between the mafia and police in Serbia is nothing new, that link was established in the 1990s and has not been fully severed until now. Only Mafia clans and field police officials are next.

Yesterday, Blic also published a photograph of the alleged criminal network organised by Hrkalovic in security structures.

The Mingasta Group was formed to monitor members of the two most powerful mafia clans in Serbia at the time HINA Skaljarski and Kavachki. At the recommendation of Dejan Milenkovic é Bagzi, then Special Investigation Method Service Chief (SSIM) of the Criminal Police Directorate, Coka Damyanovic, was brought to police”, Blic points out.

A Blic source says it is believed that a group of closer associates of Dijana Hrkalovic at the Serbian Interior Ministry used the Mingsta working group to organise the surveillance of President Vuciq.

Is Vuchy's brother related to the Mafia?

Why would Serbia's president deal with public protection of a suspected businessman?

Because there were public indications that Koluvija was linked to Andrej Vucinqi, the Serbian president's brother.

Meanwhile, current Police Minister Aleksandar Vulin joined Koluvija's defence and decided to state the almost manipulated Jovanjica case, all in order to finally resign Alexander Vuciq.

The MPB's <x0.>Piety was ready to participate in actions that are incompatible with the police, who were ready for everything that was happening around Jovanjica for President Vuciq to see his brother in prison and resign”, said the Volin for Pink TV, where he indirectly accused Dijana Hkalovqi of packing the charge that she participated in him.

The current defence minister, Stefanovic, is trying to clear himself of charges in public and offers to go for a polygraph. Vucic still keeps him in the ministerial post, even though it is clear that he has lost his confidence and that Voulin has taken the preferred position.

Diana Hrkalovic knows too much

Although thePolides called her name for months, Hrkalovic was arrested only Friday, just as the Jovanjica case was boiling again. And now Jovanjica has again fallen into the background, and the public in Serbia is trying to focus on dealing with the erotic photos of former MPB official, which “entered into the public as soon as it showed up.

Given the positions she held and the people she worked with, it is difficult to believe that ambitious Dijana Hrkalovic is innocent throughout history.

But it is even harder to believe that Aleksandar Vuciq, his closest and most controversial brother, is unmarked. It will be especially interesting if Hrkalovic decides to talk about everything she knows to save her skin. This could really be an entrance to the end of Vucciki. ( Express)
