The Erdogan threat to the issue of the expulsion of ten diplomats from Ankara prompted a strong reaction from opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who named President “psipat”, writes “Protothema”. He added that Erdogan sees people in the square and “says anything comes to mind”.
At the same time, Kilicdaroglu spoke directly to “about a man who has mental problems” and in whom citizens “cannot trust the country”.
Kilicdaroglu's severe and unprecedented attack on Erdogan comes at a time when the Turkish president is trying to present as “profitable” the escalation of the crisis with the ten ambassadors, following their statement on social networks that “respect internal affairs as well as the internal right of each country”.
Earlier, the ten ambassadors had sought the release of Osman Cavalas, a businessman, human rights activist and philanthropist, who has been in prison since the end of 2017, charged with financing demonstrations and participation in the “shelling” failed in 2016. Cavala denies the accusations.
Erdogan threatened to declare “the grant” to ambassadors, but then withdrew. A Turkish diplomatic source told “Reuters” that presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin and Foreign Minister Mevluüt Cavuşloulu had taken steps to find a solution with the ten ambassadors.
