Turkish Secret Service MlT and police have conducted a major operation against a group of people named Israel spies. “Hurriyet” suggests that the group, suspected of working for Israeli Mossad, had been followed for a year by Turkish secret service during their activities in Turkey.
The operation was conducted according to Turkish media on five bases in Istanbul, arresting a total of 15 people. Turkish media claim they were recruited by Israeli MosSAD and provided information there regarding Turkey's technology, student activities coming from Palestine, etc.
The detainees have been sent to the tribunal, where security measures are expected to be given. Turkey's move occurs at a moment when the table is the final solution for Syria, tensions with Greece and Cyprus, as well as the approach of Erdogan's government with Russia.
Similar operations have been organised in Turkey earlier, where foreign agents were said to have been arrested, but were later used as an exchange tool in negotiations between the Turkish state and other states on political issues. It is already expected to see what Israel's reaction to the arrests in question will be.
