The change of time in Western Europe was introduced in the early 1970 ' s with the reasoning that the day extends with it, electricity savings is enabled, productivity increases, people adapt, and work day becomes more efficient.
The summer crossing to the winter for the first time was marked in 1916 in northern European countries, while until now it has settled in about 70 countries, mainly in the northern hemisphere.
