Montenegro is facing a tense situation as on September 5th it was the ceremony to take over the Mitropolis of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro, Ionanikije.
Montenegro's Orthodox Church is under the Autocephare Church in Serbia. It is aimed at independence from the Serbian Orthodox Church.
The town of Cetinje has once been the head centre of Montenegro, while today it is considered the cultural and historical capital of this country. Montenegrins do not want the continued mix of Serbs in their country, though a third of the total population in this state is declared Serbian.
