The trainers were first sent to Taiwan by Donald Trump's administration, but their presence had not been reported so far, the Guardian reports, translates Periscopi.
The report came after President Tsai Inng-Wen said on Friday that Taiwan would make whatever it was asked to protect the freedom and democratic way of life. ”
“Taiwan does not require military confrontation,” she said at a security forum in Taipei.
American troops have not been on the island since 1979, when Washington had established diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China.
Pentagon spokesman John Supple did not want to comment directly on the report.
China's foreign minister released a communique, prompting America to stop these military action.
