This European state has faced a number of anti-vaccination protests, until 42% of its population of 8.7 million has yet to be vaccinated fully.
Swiss Health Minister Alain Berset has said during a media conference Friday in Bern that “The immunization rate remains very low, and that means that Switzerland still cannot stop anti measures - COVID”
According to the newest initiative, each vaccinated person will be required to name a person who has convinced him to take the dose of the vaccine, and who will then be sent a lot of cash worth 50 Swiss francs, with which he can eat food in the restaurant or go to the cinema.
The government has also announced that it is planning to launch National Inoculation Week, with 170 inoculation mobile centres.
Although the number of daily coronary cases has apparently declined, there are still many who are not immune, and the Delta version continues to prevail, which may cause a new wave of infection.
Switzerland has reported more than 81,000 positive cases with COVID-19, more than 10,700 deaths as a result of COVID-19, since the beginning of the pandemic.
