The Supreme Leader of the Taliban, Mawlai Haibatullah Akhundzada, has not appeared in public since becoming leader of the Taliban in 2016.
He has not made presentations even after the driving movement took over Afghanistan in August, following the withdrawal of American forces and other Allied countries.

Who is the supreme leader of the Taliban of Afghanistan?
The ceremony was held under strict security measures and no shooting or shooting of any photographs were allowed there, reports the REL.
Only audio recordings of his statements have been published in social media.
During his 10-minute speech, Akhundzada prayed for officials who are passing on “the major project” of the construction of “Islamic Emir of Afghanistan”.
Akhundzada was appointed leader of the movement after his predecessor's death, Mullah Akhtar Mansour, from a fear attack in 2016.

His presentation in Kandahar has sparked speculation that it aims to take a more active role in running the country.
