The student at a Malisheva school was sexually harassed by the professor of physics

In June of this year, a case has opened in a village in Malisheva claiming that a student had been sexually harassed by physics teacher.

The notes in the subject file indicate that the student had complained that the teacher had texted her, demanded her out of the hour, and later embraced her during the meeting.

A few minutes after the incident, the student had reported these behaviors to the teacher and the school supervisor, who had announced the police and the Prosecution.

The case in question occurred on 10,06,2021, where I was informed by the steward of the day responsible for our parallels that students have a problem. With the daughter's insistence on other students, the girl herself made a statement as evidence of verbal harassment. Then, along with the class's supervisor, we've come here to my office and issued a protocol statement, and after that case, with additional documents that are here on the phone, I've handed them over to the principal of the school”, he says.

The student's statement in which she claimed that she was sexually harassed by the teacher was an alarm for the police.

The latter were involved in interviewing the parties. Evidence shows that a criminal record was opened for the police's teacher. Events have developed mysteriously in the Gjakova Prosecution.

The data shows that mediation was developed between the girl's representative who was the victim's brother and teacher. At the end of this process, the indictment was set to close there with an agreement that is classified to the public.

Gjakova's prosecution has not detailed how the process is closed by hiding behind the principle that this file is confidential.

On your request, I inform you that based on Article 7 of the Law on Mediation No.06/L-009 Intermediation procedure is confidential, and also given that the party in this procedure is a minor girl, we can't provide more”, says the Prosecutor's response.

The data shows that the process sent to the mediator was closed, and with it were criminal procedures for the teacher.

Further developments are quite disturbing. The Mountainishev Education Directorate has decided to get the teacher back to work. He would also return to work in the village and school where he claimed the occasion had happened.

But the news that the Education Directorate had turned the teacher into work set up the Village Council. Those with a signed letter had demanded that the teacher leave school. Eventually the teacher left this school, but he continues his work in another school in the municipality of Malisheva.

In the Education Directorate, they have no explanation for why disciplinary procedures did not continue, while confirming that the teacher no longer works in the same village.

“This is a case that happened three months ago that we were notified by the Kosovo Police, of which the case allegedly happened, and we are in the legal context we've taken all the measures and there's not been a long period of decision from the court that the case has been concluded as a free case, we have the final decision that he has been sentenced to”, says Blerim Thaci, director of Education.

On the basis of police reporting and the prosecutor's decision we've taken the measure for temporary consonance with the legal side and at the time when the final decision as a free and innocent decision has been reversed, we've put it back on the legal side for the teacher”, he adds.

Contacted by KALLXO.com, whose name is not made public because of legal bans, has been argued that the event has only been a misunderstanding, while acknowledging that it is again practicing the teacher's profession.

This subject is closed by the court. Nothing happened. There's been a misunderstanding, with families, and we've already handled them with courts, everything's fine. That message is misunderstood to kiss and hug and nothing. I didn't ask for a kiss, but a parental hug, I can all give you a contribution to my daughter”, says the teacher.

The closure of the criminal record for alleged sexual harassment was conducted with the approval of the daughter's family.
