Special confirms they have called on Kosovo Police to ensure the provisional release of former KLA leaders

Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague, called the Special Court, have asked Kosovo Police in two weeks to provide information about its authorisations and capacities to implement conditions related to the possible provisional release from the detention of KLA executives, [...]
This is confirmed by the office for public relations, under the Special Court.
In their response, it becomes known that the preliminary process judge has asked the Kosovo Police to provide related information (i) with the authorisations and capacities of the Kosovo Police to limit the movements of individuals subject to provisional release, monitoring and restricting the communications of these individuals, managing house arrest and implementing conditions related to provisional release; and (ii) previous cases of implementation of conditions involving provisional release or detention of persons accused of serious crimes.
However, in their response, it is not specified whether they have received answers from the Kosovo Police on whether or not to ensure the release of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders.
The pre-procedure judge's order was issued on October 8th, in English, and he specifys that information should be provided within two weeks of reporting this English-language translation order. In his order, the chief prosecutor of the preliminary procedure requires the Kosovo Police to provide information concerning: (i) the authorisations and capacities of the Kosovo Police to limit the movements of individuals subject to provisional release, monitoring and restricting the communications of these individuals, managing domestic arrest and implementing conditions related to provisional release; and (ii) previous cases of implementing conditions involving provisional release or keeping in custody of persons accused of serious crimes. The order also contains a confidential annex with further details. ”, said in response by the Special Court for Blic Journal.
On the other hand, the deputy and commission member from the ranks of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albanian Mehmeti-Selim, has asked Police Director Samedin Mehmet about the issue.
