Dorothy is a law student and physics student at Vienna University. It was actually one of the reasons she was selected to occupy the position of assistant at the Law School, where she would be conducting online lectures with hundreds of students.
The directions she has chosen for her future have led her to isolate herself from other applicants.
Dorothy's role as assistant at the Law School
All the exams being held online are composed of questions posed by the Doruntine team. It shows that her duty, even before the pandemic situation, has been to update the teaching material and formulate test questions.
I applied as any student. There were about 50 students who applied at the time. One day later, I received an invitation for an interview. It was Donnie's birthday. I was very happy and the only person in the family I told him about the invitation was Donika... By 2017-2019, I organized and ran two speeches. I mostly updated my teaching material and wrote down my test questions. My team and I are now responsible for the online exams of the Jurydical Faculty along with Donika for all the professors. Besides, I organize <x1-Legal Tech Start Up Day” and help with our podcaster é Ars Bonnie”, explains Doruntina for albinfo.at.

“European Women of Legal Tech 2020 Award winner
During the pandemic in 2020, Doruntina had led a digital educational development project at the University of Vienna. It created the “platform Survival Guide”, which was first used by professors of the Law Faculty in Vienna and later by professors of other universities in Austria. The platform allowed them within 24 hours to have access to online learning. For the first time, he also wrote albinfo.
This European award is very important to me, since my work has been assessed and it motivates me to work harder in the future. I'm glad I've been able to contribute during my pandemic. A total of 179 women participated, from 27 different European countries, and were divided into five categories. I won the “Academ & Education” category. The Rector of the University of Vienna then sent me and my team an e-mail thank you and gave us the “Corona” Award for our contribution to the faculty during the pandemic”, she says.
Working on a team with your sister
Donika too is a law student at Vienna University, and she is already working with Dorothy as an assistant. Its responsibility at the Jurydical Faculty is to actualise the content of the lectures and formulate test questions.
But, of course, when you get a new position - especially when working in a pandemic period - you will face challenges. But his work with his sister is considered interesting.
There are many teaching challenges waiting for us. All written exams had to be conducted online, which was a challenge for professors and dean themselves. A solution had to be found on how to conduct online writing tests with a number of participants of about 500 to 1,000 students on each exam. In this process, a “Buddy-Team”, of assistants who had the main responsibility for the technical execution of the main exams. Dorothy and I were part of the team. It was an interesting experience to work together as sisters on the same team. Along with our colleagues and all the professors, we tried to do our best from the situation and to take the tests online”, she says of albinfo.

Love and homesickness for Kosovo, Albania
Kosovo is part of our identity”. That is what both sisters say when they recall the time they spent in Kosovo as children. Doruntina says that prior to the period of Coved, they have visited Kosovo and Albania at least twice within the year, writes albinfo.at.
We visited Kosovo and Albania twice a year before and the best moments of our childhood we had there. We like to remember the months we spent with our grandparents on the floor and the beautiful beaches we have visited in Albania. The adventures we had there as children, the affection of the people there. I remember when all the kids gathered around the fire and Grandpa baked us corn...”, she talks with a lot of shit.
Donika says Kosovo and Albania have a close relationship, and thanks to the education their parents gave them.
The fact that we have a good relationship with family members there and we have spent every summer there, and also the fact that our parents were always important to cultivate our roots, we have a close relationship with Kosovo and Albania, and whenever we find opportunities and visit more pleasure, especially during the summer season”, she says.
Both sisters say that if there was space in the future to contribute with their professions in Kosovo, they would be very willing to help.
