Ends session at The Hague, first SPS witness to be heard tomorrow

Witness Zenka Pumper, co-ordinator of the SPS investigations, has said she is unaware of the investigation on September 7, 2020, the first day on OVL- The KLA had reached several package documents.

In the final part of the session at The Hague's Specialised Chambers, witness Pumper has answered Hysni Gucati's lawyer's questions, Jonathan Elistan Rees.

Lawyer Rees: Do you know who answered on the field from September 7th, as the investigator always talks about starting the investigation on what happened that day, September 7th, the first day when the ZPS claimed to be aware of the documents that have reached OVL- KLA, which was actually the theme of the press conference that was held that day?

Witness Pumper: I don't know if there was an investigation into the field that day.

Lawyer Rees: Can you check the documents at night to help us at this point tomorrow morning?

Prosecutor Bolic: I object to these questions, the investigator cannot be asked to check documents that are not in her possession.

Lawyer Rees: Can you control these documents so that you can help us in the interrogation tomorrow morning?

Witness Pumper: Your Honor, I don't believe there's any documents I can check to see if any field investigation was conducted at the time.

At this session it became known that witness Zenka Pumper worked for EULEX from 2009 to five years where it has in a period had the centre in Pristina.

Zenka Pumper, investigating in the SPS, has begun her testimony in the trial against former OVL leaders- UCK on October 18, 2021.

Her hearing will continue tomorrow with the defence attorney's questions. Zenka Pumper is the first witness in the trial against Hysni Gucatt and Nasim Haradinaj at the Specialised Chambers in The Hague.

Former OVL-KLA leaders are charged with criminal acts against justice administration, obstructing official persons in carrying out official duties, fearing witnesses, revenge and violating the secret of the procedure.

In the organization they were running, there were several packages allegedly containing documents derived from the Special Prosecutor's Office. All of this they had made public through media conferences and other public presentations.

They have been arrested on 25 September 2020 in Pristina since they were also held at The Hague detention centre. / KP/
