He has said that currently private and personal information of over 1.5 billion Facebook users is being sold at a well-known flood-related forum, potentially enabling cyber criminals and unscrupulous advertisers to target internet users at a global level.
According to him, this constitutes the largest and most significant storage of Facebook data to date.
The” appears to have nothing to do with an earlier 2021 Facebook depot where 500 million users were affected. In late September 2021, a user of a popular hacker forum posted a statement claiming to own the personal data of more than 1.5 billion Facebook users. The data is currently available on the relevant forum platform, with potential buyers able to buy all data immediately or in smaller amounts. A future buyer claims he received 5,000 dollars for the $1 million Facebook user accounts, he said.
Zoltan says that according to the forum poster, the data provided contains the following personal information of Facebook users: name, email, location, gender, telephone number, user ID.
The” samples presented at the forum show that the data really appears to be authentic. Their cross-crossed check with known flow of Facebook databases did not result in any matches, meaning that at first glance, data data from the sample is unique and not a replica or re-species of a violation or scrapping of previously known data. The vendor claims to represent a web group in action for at least four years, claiming they have had over 18,000 clients during this time”, said Milos, who has long experience in cyber security and data privacy after working with international teams for more than 10 years on projects that include testing penetration, network safety and cryptography.
