The former official even claimed the prince had conspired to send a team to Canada to kill him three years ago and that he imprisoned his two children, Sarah and Omar, in Saudi Arabia, writes CNN.

A Canadian government spokesman said: “While we cannot comment on specific claims right now before courts, we are aware of incidents in which foreign actors have tried to monitor, intimidate or threaten Canadians or persons living in Canada. ”

Television CBS, which carried out the interview with the former Saudi official, said Saudi Arabia has refused to provide an interview, but this state's embassy in Washington came out with a statement, in which it said Aljabri is a discredited former government official.

A group of Saudi companies will sue this person in the United States and Canada for allegedly stealing money from the budget shared for the fight against terrorism. Aljabri denied these accusations in the interview.
