The vote on stopping the taking of 32-year-old Nain came after “ethic risk assessment” that considered his age and other factors.
The last male species died in 2018, but its sperm had been collected and used to fertilize the eggs, reports the BBC, translates Periscope.
The procedure included a team of veterans who removed rhino eggs, using techniques developed for years.
The eggs were then sent to an Italian laboratory for fertilization, using sperm from dead men.
