Director of the Association of Family Heroes and Witnesses The nation today has sought to resolve the status of disabled or injured activists before the liberation war in Kosovo.
In the Commission for Human Rights, Naser Behrami of this association has submitted to MPs the request to review the Law on the Status of Witness Rights and the NLA Invalids and to be included in this law and pre-war disabled during 1981-1995.
Our request is that we who have shed blood for this country's freedom be recognized as the status of its prewar disabled. There are people left in the cart who have sacrificed for the freedom of this country. Thus this category has not been addressed at all”, he said.
MP Saranda Bogujevci has said that unfortunately the relevant law has been incorrect of certain categories, especially of pre-war disabled.
It is pointless to recognise the status of those killed, but not those injured in this period”, she said.
Commission chairman Tinka Kurti promised this association that he would handle their demands, even through the organisation of a parliamentary debate.
