This Sunday Kosovo votes for the 17 October local elections. No doubt, for each municipality the election process is important, but Pristina has the greatest attention to the fact that it is the capital, but also because the race is narrow and Pristina needs a change in representation.

When we are in contrast to this election race, Daut Haradinaj is the distinguished candidate in the middle because he aims at deep reform in the capital.

Without complexity for the background, party and cultural bed it belongs to, Haradinaj has not concealed his identity to boost support. Instead, he has been himself in meetings with the citizens of Pristina, for which he has gained enormous support progressively.

Haradinaj has a volume programme that addresses most of the needs of citizens, those in the city, but also those in rural areas of Pristina. If his governing programme is read, his aim for the major change Pristina needs is easily understood.

However, a good programme would be insufficient, without a bold and energetic chairman for law enforcement for all citizens equally.

Daut Haradinaj, sometimes during his political career, has testified that he is undeterred and that he has the power and the powerful radiation to impose his authority on complicated issues where the interests of various subjects are co-ordinated.

It is a broad perception in Pristina that Haradinaj is already in the race seriously, that Haradinaj will be in the run-off with one of the other candidates. What is visible and acceptable so far, in this election campaign, is the fact that to change Pristina, Daut Haradinaj must win.
