Kosovo Corresponding Service spokesman Florent Gashi has indicated on Telegrafi that they will take care of creating spaces and conducting the process in co-ordination with the Central Election Commission.
As he said, voter lists and materials will be provided by the CEC.
Under the co-ordination of the SKK and the CEC, the voting process will take place through all corrective institutions, the USKK will take care of space creation and the management of the process, while voter lists and election materials will be provided by the CEC”, Gashi said.
On the other hand, he indicated that there are currently 1637 prisoners in the correctional institutions.
Voter-right “has all those persons who are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo who own currency documents. From this number of prisoners are expelled minors under the age of 18 and foreign nationals”, Gashi told Telegrafi.
Otherwise, the Central Election Commission allows voter turnout even of persons who for specific circumstances cannot go to the polls.
The approach to this service depends on the category they belong to, which is described below, while voting is enabled through mobile teams that go home or relevant institutions to enable the vote of people voting this way.
This included inmates in prisons and detainees in detention centres.
